Darquain Field Development Project

Executive Activities

First stage of Development :‎
Drilling and completion of 3 appraisal ‎wells, 5 development wells and a gas ‎injection well and installation of gas ‎injection system (including a ‎dehydration column and a high pressure ‎compression train) and a 17 Km ‎pipeline to transfer stabilized oil to the ‎existing Ahwaz–Abadan pipeline.‎
Second stage of Development:‎
Drilling and completion of 15 ‎development and 3 gas injection wells ‎and a water disposal well, construction ‎and installation of additional production ‎and injection facilities.‎

Location

Darquain oil field located 40 Km north ‎of khorramshahr and about 100 Km SW ‎of Ahwaz in Khozistan province.‎

AGIP IRAN B.V. (60%), Naftiran ‎intertrade Company (NICO) (40%)‎

Project Schedule

Effective date : June 2001.

Oil-in-place of Darquain ‎oil field is around 3.6 billion STB of the estimated formation . The predicted recoverable ‎reserves is estimated as 1.5 billion ‎barrels of oil in Fahlian formation based on a 40 year plateau.which is going to be produced ‎based on a 40 year plateau.The development will be done in two phases .

The sustainable platform ‎rate of production at the end of second phase which will be 65 months from the effective date is envisaged to be 160,000 barrels of oil per day .
