The project aims at developing production refining process for heavy and extra heavy cruid oil .The first step would be the production of oil from the two fields of Kooh-e-Mond and Zaghe .Studies on Kooh-e-Mond fields have started, and basic studies and 2-dimention seismic operation and drilling of exploration and apprisal wells have been envisged for each case .Kooh-e-Mond field: Estimates indicate reserves of 3.0.3 bn barrels in the Asmari horizon and 3.6 bn barrels in Sarvak formation.
Zaghe field: oil-in-place of the field is stimate at about 1.3 bn barrels.
Ferdows field: oil-in-place of the field is estimated at about 30.6 bn barrels in the three structures of Fahlian, Gadvan and Daryan.
